Hear It From Our Customers < Amazing product! Great film! Easy to use and excellent print quality. No issues with my printer recognizing the film. Awesome packing too! The cardboard box kept the film protected and free from bends and dents unlike other brands I’ve ordered. The plastic bag kept the film sheets together and organized with indicated “print side”. Great product for both newbies and experienced creators because there are very detailed and helpful step by step instructions included! ★★★★★ Leo Acosta Great Film! This film is easy to use and peal. We've using an Epson printer and the results are great in unison with the Epson Inks. The film does well with the main factors you look for with DTF film: The ink sticks well without pooling or streaking within the prints and we had no issues with the peel. ★★★★★ Lionheart Printers Such a great quality! the sheets come in a cardboard box that keeps them from being bent, and the resealable plastic bag helps when getting them out so they don't scatter. I tried other sheets, and these have printed the colors just as I wanted on my design. ★★★★★ Rose Newbie friendly These DTF transfer sheets are perfect for anyone starting off. The instructions are easy to follow. The sheets are perfect size to make multiple small at home projects like labels for my daughter's fabric bins. I have also used it to add her name on her clothes since her daycare seems to lose her stuff. Definitely recommend, will buy again. ★★★★★ Viviana Ayala Great Quality! I was super pleased with the film! It was my first time DTF printing, and I have to say this paper was of very high quality and made it very user friendly. I would highly recommend anybody starting out with dtf printing to try this product, will definitely be purchasing again! ★★★★★ Hany > Show More... Frequently Asked Questions What's DTF? Direct-To-Film aka DTF is a heat transfer based creative design process. DTF printers use specialized pigmented ink to print designs directly onto DTF Film. An adhesive powder is applied to the design while the ink is still wet. The film is heat pressed on to any fabric or substrate creating a vibrant and long lasting design. What's the difference between single-sided and double-sided transfer film? The biggest difference between double sided and single sided film is printer recognition. Double sided film is frosted on both sides, allowing more friction and grip while it moves through the printer. What's PET? PET or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a high-performance thermoplastic made from ethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalate (DMT). In comparison with other common plastic films, PET film has greater dimensional stability, lower moisture absorption, and is stronger under tension and high temperatures. It's also UV resistant and has good optical clarity. With such a high melting point, PET film is ideal for quality printing and lamination. Is there a difference between DTF, Sublimination, and HTV? Yes.
While all 3 creative processes use heat transfer, the methodologies, instruments and end results are vastly different.
DTF produces vibrant, detailed prints which can be applied to any material or substrate (cotton, synthetics, even wood!). The design is slightly raised and smooth to the touch. DTF printers require thorough cleaning due to the specialized pigmented ink.
Sublimation is a chemical process creating a molecular bond of the design to the substrate. Sublimation is limited to synthetic fabrics. Prints cannot be felt. Sublimation printers require minimal maintenance.
HTV aka Heat Transfer Vinyl uses a specialty vinyl with a heat activated adhesive backing, allowing the design to adhere to the substrate. This methodology requires a special tool to carve out designs. HTV sheets are limited to a single color. The print is slightly raised and feels like plastic.
I have a laser printer.  Is DTF transfer film compatible? Our film is compatible with laser/toner printers, but the DTF process is not. Both laser and DTF printers print on PET film and use a heat transfer process, but that's where the similarities stop.
DTF printers use a specialized pigmented ink and while the ink's still wet, an adhesive powder is applied. The design is then heat pressed to the user's substrate of choice.
Laser printers, on the other hand, use toner cartridges which is a powdered pigment. During the printing process static electricity from the laser bonds the powdered pigment to the film/paper. Because the design is dry, an adhesive sheet must be heat pressed onto the design in order for it to be applied to the substrate of choice.
